SL017 Antique Silver Lamp TripodA legendary conductor of the Berliner Philharmoniker was known for his collection of precious batons, a series of pretty wives (six in all) and his insistence on taking along his own sheet music stand. This was an elaborate tripod that had once supported an astronomical device at the London Observatory. He not only liked its design, but also felt it didn’t interfere with showing off his athletic build and the fashionable cut of his long-tailed frock, given that conductors mainly turn their backs. Our brass tripod finished in antique silverplate would have pleased Herrn Konduktor for its sturdy build and elegant details. The fact that it’ll serve as beautiful décor and a practical lamp to read libretto is only a welcome added encore. M. 31.5 x 31.5 x 66.9''
